چکیده

Infrared spectroscopic investigations have shown that on the basis of changes in the v3 , S0 4 band which occur when calcium sulphate is heated from 400° to 1400 °C, there are two forms of insoluble anhydrite, designated as ß'and /?-CaS04 . /?'-CaS04 is metastable and is completely converted into /?-CaS04 by heating above 1000 °C. With longer heating periods this conversion can even take place at lower temperatures. /?-CaS04 is stable and is of the same type as the naturally occurring form of anhydrite.

Dependence of Spectroscopic Properties of Copper Oxide Based Silica Supported Nanostructure on Temperature

Various concentrations of copper were embedded into silica matrix to xerogel forms using copper source Cu(NO3)2∙3H2O. The xerogel samples were prepared by hydrolysis and condensation of Tetraethyl Ortho-Silicate (TEOS) with determination of new molar ratio of the components by the sol-gel method. After ambient drying, the xerogel samples were heated from 60 to 1000˚C at a slow heating rate (50°...

بررسی به کارگیری بایندرهای سولفاتی به جای بایندرهای فسفاتی در جرمهای مورد مصرف در پلاسترتاندیش

One of the main reasons for the blocking and sticking of the expendable layer in tundish plaster to the permanent layer and the subsequent increase in refractory consumption and associated costs is the use of low-melting phosphate binders. At high temperatures in continuous casting of steel, phosphate binders provide low-melting point melts which cause reactions between the two consuming and pe...

Preparation and characterization of CaF2:Ce3+ nanoparticles with spectroscopic studies

In this research Calcium fluoride nanoparticles and its different amount of cerium ion dopant (5%and 10%) were prepared. The mentioned nanoparticle were studied by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) , X-ray diffraction (XRD), absorption and photoluminescence spectra (PL) and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The XRD patterns indicate a typical cubic fluorite structure and no other...

In Situ Raman Spectroscopic Study of Gypsum (CaSO4·2H2O) and Epsomite (MgSO4·7H2O) Dehydration Utilizing an Ultrasonic Levitator.

We present an original apparatus combining an acoustic levitator and a pressure-compatible process chamber. To characterize in situ the chemical and physical modifications of a levitated, single particle while heated to well-defined temperatures using a carbon dioxide laser, the chamber is interfaced to a Raman spectroscopic probe. As a proof-of-concept study, by gradually increasing the heatin...
